Why the price?

I often get asked why prints can be so expensive. It's a fair question!

First, I take great pride in my work and want to deliver the highest quality art to liven any space for generations. To do this, I source the best vendor for my prints. The production costs and shipping alone can be quite pricey, especially for larger format pieces. If I didn’t mark up from those costs and factor in my numerous investments, in addition to the added attention to detail and time for larger prints, it would be unsustainable to continue my art.

Photography is my art, passion, and career. This has taken an investment of many tens of thousands of dollars in pro-level equipment, software, and countless hours, along with blood sweat and tears and constant learning. There’s a lot more to taking a picture than clicking a button. As with most arts and skills, it has taken years to acquire the necessary knowledge and experience to produce my images, and I’m constantly working to stay at the cutting edge of what’s possible. For many pictures, I have hours, days, or even months invested with many auxiliary expenses. Sometimes the overhead gets a little silly, but I absolutely love what I do. It’s who I am.

When you decide that you’d like to invest in my art, I invest in you as well. We will work together closely to find the right piece for your space, and I will make any custom adjustments before putting it into production. Every piece is unique and made precisely for you. I want you to feel confident that you’re getting every bit of what you pay for, and my sincere wish is that you and your friends and family are able to enjoy your piece for many years.
